Vita

Louise Sprengelmeyer, B. A., has been a junior researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI) since August 2019. She works in research programme 1 "Transformation of Public Communication: Journalistic and Intermediary Functions in the Process of Opinion Formation". She is particularly focused on the changing relationship between journalism and the public.


Louise Sprengelmeyer studied journalism and communication science in Hamburg. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant with Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen at HBI as well as Michael Brüggemann at Universität Hamburg.


Her research interests lie in the transformation of journalism in times of profound mediatisation and datafication.
